Kindly ensure that your child completes the First Communion Assignment. The assignment is an integral part of their journey to know Jesus Christ better. It is due on the weekend of February 22 and 23. Your child will be asked to come forward at the end of Mass – hand in their assignment and will be given the next book “We Share In the Eucharist”.
The Sacrament Preparation Classes begin Saturday November 16th, at the St. André Bessette Rectory – 2 Barletta Drive at 10:00 a.m.

We ask that your child bring his/her pencil case including a pencil, eraser, and pencil crayons, as well as the Sacrament Preparation Booklets and Pocket Folder (these items will be provided at the first class). Also, please send a photo of your child’s baptism including his/her godparents, as we will be discussing the Sacrament of Baptism, during our first and second classes. We also request the children be dropped off at the rectory at 9:55 am and picked up at 11:00 am.
If you have not submitted your Letter of Intent, please do so as soon as possible (at either the Saturday 5pm or Sunday 10 am or 12 pm Mass), it may be printed off the parish website.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will take place on Saturday January 25. The class will NOT be one hour.
On that day, we request parents to remain at the rectory. At 10:00 am, the children will review the prayers and procedures for going to confession; receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation; and each child will be ready to leave soon after his/her prayers.
First Holy Communion will take place at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 191 Wade Gate, on Saturday May 24th, at 3:30 pm.
We look forward to preparing your child for his/her Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
If your child is a candidate to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion (Grade 2), but you were not able to attend either of the Parent Information Sessions, you may still registered your child.
